In this article we’ll analyze some of the ‘methaphorogical’ processes, illustrated by the German philosopher Hans Blumenberg in his work “Paradigmen zu einer Metaphorologie” (1960). Particularly, in the first chapter we’ll step into the concept of “Truth” and its power in the metaphoric sense of “light”, “revelation” and “human labour”; the second will concern two of the most important paradigmatical shifts at the threshold of modernity: from an organicistic view to a mechanicistic one, and from the Tolemaic astronomic organization to the Copernican model. Sommario Per la filosofia, assumere la responsabilità del linguaggio, un linguaggio essenzialmente metaforico in quanto capace di rivelare il reale creandolo sempre di nuovo, significa rendersi consapevole che in ogni ordine eccede l’estraneo come fenomeno radicale e integrale del nostro pensiero. In questa prospettiva, la riflessione sulla metafora come evento del senso risulta esemplare. La metafora è infatti l’irrompere dell’estraneo, l’emergere dello stra-ordinario nell’ordinario. Noi non vediamo semplicemente il mondo, non ci riferiamo direttamente a esso designandolo, oggettualizzandolo, piuttosto “vediamo-come” la realtà che ci accade, liberando l’immaginazione al di là di stringenti vincoli soggetto-oggetto.

Abstract
Philosophy that assumes the responsibility for language, which is essential metaphorical because it can reveal the real creating it again and again, becomes aware that the stranger is a radical and integral phenomenon of our thinking and exceeds in every order. In this perspective, it is important to reflect on the metaphor as event of meaning. Metaphor is, in fact, the irruption of the stranger, the emerging of the extra-ordinary in the ordinary. We do not simply see the world, but we “see as” the reality that happens us, freeing the imagination beyond subject-object stringent constraints.
